The public relation of Imam Hussein (a.s) mosque reported that on the occasion of the greatest Islamic Eid, the Eid of Qadeer, the operational phase of repair and reconstruction of the dome of the Imam Hussein (a.s) mosque started.
In recent years, the outer surface of the dome was affected by climatically damages which were easily visible. Oldness of the decorative bricks, partial separation of the bricks due to defective climate affects, gradually made serious damage and even wave over the surface of the dome.
First the damaged bricks removed and after that by using the accurate distance meter, the plan of the dome prepared. Then the reconstruction of the dome started by keeping in mind that the original shape of the dome to be kept as it was before. In this project the failure and exhaustion of middle layer of the dome wall also considered to be reconstructed. After that the outer surface will be covered by traditional Iranian tiles and protective layer as well.
On provision of the project the Islamic traditional architecture considered as the base of the new design. The expenses of the project will be paid from the donations and supportive donors. It is estimated to be finished in two months.
The expert tiling masters of Isfahan city of Iran are invited to be involved. The next step after this project will be the isolation of the roof.
