Last decade of Month of Safar al Mudhafar Ceremonies
The month of Safar is starting with entrance of Karbala battle’s prisoners to Damascus (as per some narrations) and there were sad events like martyrdom of the 3 years old daughter of Imam Hussein (a.s), ending with Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) Passing away date and Imam Hassan (a.s) ‘s martyrdom date and finally last day of Safar is the Imam Redha (a.s)’s nartyrdom anniversary.
As the last decade of Safar started, there were ceremonies in Imam Hussein (a.s)’s mosque. The ceremonies started from eve of 21^st of Safar and continue for 11 night till the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Redha (a.s). Ceremonies were in 3 different sections: first was the Ladies special Mourning ceremony which was starting every day at 5 p.m. including speech and panegyrist till maqrib prayer time. The second section were started by finishing the Isha prayer and there was speeches and panegyrist and the third part was kids special ceremonies were held in Roqayya (s.a) kindergarten area.
